Thursday night, we saw Nick Offerman at WWU, doing a routine that is quite unlike his Ron Swanson character IMO. I realize the bar of vulgarity has been lowered in the public arena over the past few decades- but O.M.G.
It’s also possible it had been artificially lowered to attract college students, but from what I overheard, many were equally nonplussed.
However, it was still a fun night out & he has potential if he takes my advice.
Which would be to develop characters, and utilize the audience more- tour with a partner maybe? His wife, Megan Mullally has appeared with him in other shows.
